Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is seeking a hands-on operator to join our team. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe work area and operating production equipment in a fast-paced environment.

You will contribute to safety programs and assist with various tasks as directed by your supervisor. The ideal candidate has 1 year of experience in recycling or manufacturing, forklift or loader experience, and strong teamwork and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in recycling or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience operating forklift, skid steer, or loader preferred.
• Knowledge of metal identification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe work area and equipment in accordance with procedures.
• Operate production equipment following established guidelines.
• Participate in safety programs and promote CMC safety culture.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

What You'll Do

• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

What You'll Need

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Able to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Minimum 1 year experience in either recycling and/or manufacturing environment preferred
• Previous experience operating forklift, skid steer, loader or similar equipment
• Prior knowledge of metal identification is a plus

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
