Scoular is seeking a Scale Operator to join our team for a seasonal harvest-cycle role through mid-September, with a potential transition to full-time. Primary duties include weighing grain, weighing trucks, collecting samples, and providing excellent customer service to Producers/Drivers.

On-the-job training is provided, and the role requires working outdoors in all weather, including extreme heat and wind. Ability to stand long hours and handle grain dust is essential.

Responsibilities

• Receive, weigh and test grain delivered to the facility and provide superior customer service to Producers/Drivers.
• Weigh all trucks entering and leaving the facility and direct them to loading/unloading locations.
• Probe inbound trucks to collect samples and enter information into the tracking system.
• Maintain clean and organized areas in the office and scale room.
• Greet customers and visitors in a professional manner and direct them as needed.
• Support operations with other duties as required and participate in on-the-job training.

This is a seasonal position lasting through our harvest cycle in mid-September that has the possibility to transition to full-time. We are a team-oriented workplace that motivates hard-working individuals that can adapt to a fast-paced work environment.

About The Role

Scoular is seeking a motivated Scale Operator to join our team and contribute to our mission of creating safe and reliable supply chain solutions for our customers. This is a seasonal position lasting through our harvest cycle in mid-September that has the possibility to transition to full-time. We are a team-oriented workplace that motivates hard-working individuals that can adapt to a fast-paced work environment.

Primary duties include:

• Receive, weigh and test grain delivered to the facility while providing superior customer service to the Producers/Drivers.
• Weigh all trucks coming into and leaving the facility and directing trucks to the proper location for loading and unloading. Communicate with the production crew to ensure timely unloading of trucks.
• Probe all inbound trucks to collect commodity sample and enter all customer and commodity information into tracking system.
• Housekeeping duties to keep area within the office area and scale room clean and presentable.
• Greet customers and visitors (both in person and via telephone) in a professional and courteous manner and direct them to the appropriate individual if necessary.
• Other duties as needed to support operations.
• On-the-job training provided.

• Must be able to remain standing on hard surfaces for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in an environment with high levels of grain dust.
• Must be able to bend and reach in normal range of movement.
