Job summary

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. is seeking a regional logistics professional to help oversee scale in/out processes (A3) including offhire, onhire, sale, sublease, misuse, and lost/stolen containers.

You will work in the Regional Logistics Department, report to the Scale In-Out Manager, and coordinate with country offices and suppliers. Responsibilities include managing sale containers, sending offers, tracking releases, ensuring SAP billing, and handling Total Loss containers stock.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ year of related experience.
• Strong experience in Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP) required.
• Experience in container shipping industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track flagged for sale containers in and arriving to A3.
• Send sale reports to potential buyers and respond to offers.
• Track containers against sales release number to ensure transaction completion.
• Track container sales to ensure payment, pickup, and SAP billing completion.
• Manage Total Loss Containers stock and identify sellable units; coordinate with MNR for 3rd party salvage.
• Gather details on misuse/foreign containers, ensure proper billing, update systems, and notify relevant parties.
• Review details from country offices to determine LOST/Stolen status and present case for DRV receipt and billing.

Job description

Main Purpose of the Role:

The individual will work in the Regional Logistics Department and report to the Scale In-Out Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing the different scale in/out processes within A3 (Offhire, onhire, sale, sublease, misuse, lost/stolen).

Main Tasks:

• Manage and track flagged for sale containers in and arriving to A3
• Send sale reports to potential buyers and respond as required to purchase offers.
• Track containers against sales release number to ensure transaction is complete.
• Track Container sales to ensure payment received, unit picked up and system updated accordingly. Follow up to ensure SAP billing is completed.
• Manage Total Loss Containers stock, identify which ones can actually be sold. Follow up with MNR on those that is 3rd party salvage.
• Gather all details relating to misuse/foreign container, ensure proper billing of responsible party, ensure systems are updated, and all necessary parties are notified
• Receive and review all details presented by country offices to determine if container should be declared as LOST/Stolen, present case to HO HFA for receipt of DRV, bill responsible party, ensure systems are updated

Requirements

• Experience in Container Shipping industry (a plus).
