Position Summary

The Scale House Operator operates weigh scales, manages software data programs, performs data entry, and maintains records. Responsibilities include ensuring trucks receive tare weights, recording weights for loaded trucks, and printing tickets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper truck positioning on scales for accurate weights.
• Operate computer systems to enter truck and product data, and print tickets.
• Maintain shift transaction logs and perform routine data entry.
• Assist with clerical duties as needed.
• Send transaction records and tickets to the jobsite office or owner’s representative.
• Tare trucks daily and record weights appropriately.
• Use Excel and truck weight software proficiently.
• Keep the scale house organized and clean daily.
• Communicate effectively in English via two-way radio.
• Maintain high attentiveness and physical coordination for scale operations.

This position is remote; room and board are provided at a work camp in Curry, Alaska.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Dependable transportation.

• Proficiency with computers, data entry, and tracking.
