Job summary

Ag Valley Co-op is seeking a scale clerk to support grain movement in our elevator system. You will weigh inbound and outbound trucks, sample and grade grain, and operate scale computers while directing customers to dumping stations.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and strong communication and customer service skills. You must be able to work safe around grain dust and endure extended harvest hours in a fast-paced environment.

Job DescriptionThe scale clerk supports the movement of grain though Ag Valley's elevator system.Job DutiesOperate scale weighing both inbound and outbound trucks, Sampling, grading, and testing grain, Operating scale computers, printing and filing tickets, directing customers to proper dumping stations, communicate with elevator staff on types and quality of grain received, Front line customer service duties.Education/ExperienceBasic math, computer, and organizational skills essential; Excellent communication and customer service skills required; Attention to detail, Accurate data entry skills, Ability to work in close proximity to grain and grain dust; job requires employees to be on their feet in a fast-paced environment; Applicant should be able to work extended harvest hours.
