Job summary

Marquis Industrial Services seeks a Scaffold Builder to construct, assemble, maintain and dismantle tubular scaffolding on job sites in Texas. You will follow OSHA and site requirements, inspect materials for hazards, and participate in safety audits with the scaffold crew.

The role requires daily inspections, securing scaffolds to structures, and cleaning the site. Weekend work may be required. Stamina for physical tasks is essential.

Qualifications

• OSHA and Marquis Construction requirements for scaffold work.
• Ability to pass hair follicle testing and background checks.
• TWIC card required; PPE must be worn at all times.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Completion of DOW Safety Training.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA and site requirements for scaffold work.
• Inspect scaffold materials for defects and hazards daily.
• Participate in safety pre-job audits with the scaffolding crew.
• Conduct daily visual inspections to ensure structural stability.
• Secure scaffolding to the permanent structure for stability.
• Assemble scaffolds with handrails, mid-rails, braces and planks; ensure walkways and guardrails.
• Hoist scaffolding materials to erect temporary structures safely.
• Regularly inspect components and replace damaged parts.
• Clean and prepare the site, removing debris and materials.
• Attend required safety meetings and duties as assigned.
