Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Scaffold Helper I to assist with the construction, dismantling and repair of wooden and metal scaffolds and related structures. This is a long-term position requiring reliable transportation and strict safety compliance.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical and background check and have 12-16 months of scaffold builder helper experience, plus knowledge of tools, materials, and basic

• Must be willing to assist other crafts when not actively working on scaffolding.
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Identify all tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
• Measure, mark, and cut wooden/metallic materials to specifications.
• Assist with the construction, reinforcement, and dismantling of pre-constructed scaffolds.
• Assist with the building and construction of wooden scaffolds and auxiliary items.
• Clean up work areas.

Summary -

Scaffold Builder Helper will assist with the

metal scaffolds and auxiliary structures related to
scaffold.

processes involved with basic building techniques
and form construction.

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work full work schedule and any

additional overtime.

• Must be willing to work safely and follow all safety

rules and regulations.

• Must follow all company and site rules and

regulations.

Physical Requirements

• Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts

of standing, walking, bending, squatting and
lifting/lifting above head.

• Will talk and hear to communicate.
• Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn,

push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and
tools.

• May be required to lift, carry and move up to 30lbs.
• Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways,

work off of platforms and man lifts, and may
occasionally work out on an open structure using the
appropriate fall protection requirements.
