Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Baytown, TX is seeking a Scaffold Builder Helper to assist with construction, dismantling and repair of wooden and metal scaffolds and related structures. The role requires 12-16 months of scaffold helper experience, reliable transport, and strict adherence to safety rules.

You will identify tools, measure materials, assist with building and dismantling scaffolds, and keep work areas clean.

Qualifications

• Must have 12-16 months of scaffold builder helper experience.
• Knowledge of materials, tools, and basic building techniques and form construction.

Responsibilities

• Identify all tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and precautions.
• Measure, mark, and cut wooden/metal materials to Specifications.
• Assist with construction, reinforcement, and dismantling of scaffolds.
• Assist with building of wooden scaffolds and auxiliary items.
• Clean up work areas.

Job description

Scaffold Builder Helper will assist with the construction, dismantling, and repair of wooden and metal scaffolds and auxiliary structures related to scaffold.

Qualification Highlights

• Must possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions (see below).
• Must be willing to assist other crafts while not actively working on Scaffolding.
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
• Must be able and willing to follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Must have all required tools.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Position Responsibilities

• Identify all tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
• Measure, mark, and cut required wooden/metallic materials to required specifications.
• Assist with the construction, re-enforcement, and dismantling of pre-constructed Scaffolds.
• Assist with the building and construction of wooden Scaffolds and auxiliary items.
• Clean up work areas.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Must have 12-16 months of scaffold builder helper experience.
• Must have 12-16 months of scaffold builder helper experience.
• Must have knowledge on materials, tools, and processes involved with basic building techniques and form construction.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work full work schedule and any additional overtime.
• Must be willing to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Must follow all company and site rules and regulations.

Physical Requirements

• Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting/lifting above head.
• Will talk and hear to communicate.
• Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
• May be required to lift, carry and move up to 30lbs.
• Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, work off of platforms and man lifts, and may occasionally work out on an open structure using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
