Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Scaffold Builder Helper to assist scaffold builders at our Houston, TX site. You will support assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding and other temporary structures, with emphasis on safety and adherence to site rules.

The role requires physical endurance and the ability to work at heights, in industrial environments. Qualifications include a valid TWIC card and a driver’s license, plus 6+ months in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Valid TWIC card and driver’s license required.
• 6+ months experience in an industrial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work at heights with no fear.
• Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold as instructed.
• Hoists scaffolding materials upward to erect temporary structure.
• Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Secure scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
• Adheres to OSHA, site-specific and Austin Industrial requirements for erecting and navigating scaffolding.
• Pass materials and tools to Journeyman as needed.
• Dismantles scaffolding when instructed.
• Other duties as assigned.
