Job summary

Austin External is seeking a Scaffold Builder – Helper to supervise the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures in Baytown, Texas. You will follow instructions from the scaffold builder and ensure safety and stability on site.

Responsibilities include determining scaffold type, hoisting materials, securing components, and conducting final inspections while adhering to OSHA and site requirements.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required.
• 3–5 years journeyman scaffolding experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine scaffold type and provide install instructions.
• Oversee transport and erection of scaffold as directed by scaffold builder.
• Hoist materials to assemble temporary structures.
• Secure and level scaffold components for stability.
• Ensure scaffold complies with OSHA and site requirements.
• Supervise dismantling and inspect equipment after disassembly.
• Perform final inspection of completed scaffolding.
