Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Scaffold Field Supervisor/Foreman to lead on-site scaffold projects in the Greater Elkridge, MD area.

This role focuses on safe, efficient assembly and dismantling of complex scaffolding systems, guiding a crew, and ensuring timely completion of job sites. You will perform daily safety planning, work closely with supervisors, and mentor carpenters while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA scaffolding regulations and scaffold systems.
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs regularly and work at heights.
• Bonus: bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise a scaffold crew on site, up to 3 lead carpenters and teams.
• Act as on-site leader, using tools when needed to keep projects on schedule and safe.
• Prepare daily safety plans, JSAs and scaffold inspection checklists under Field Supervisor guidance.
• Coach scaffold lead carpenters and helpers to grow within the company.

What You’ll Do

• Crew Leadership: Direct and supervise a crew (or up to 3 lead carpenters and their teams) to safely erect and dismantle various types of complex scaffolding systems.
• Hands‑On & Field Execution: Serve as an active leader on site—working with your tools when needed while ensuring jobs are completed safely and on schedule.
• Site Documentation & Planning: Perform daily JSAs, safety plans, scaffold inspection checklists, delivery/pickup tickets, and extra work authorizations under the guidance of the Field Supervisor.
• Mentorship: Coach and develop scaffold lead carpenters and helpers to help them hone their skills and grow within the company.

Location Requirement: This position is based on‑site at our Elkridge branch with daily travel to local project sites across the metro area. Candidates must currently live in or around Greater Elkridge. Please note: Relocation assistance, housing stipends, and visa sponsorship are not provided for this role. Non‑local applicants requiring relocation will not be considered.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Scaffold E&D Lead Carpenter or approved equivalent scaffolding experience.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA scaffolding regulations and various scaffold material systems and load limits.
• Requirements: High School Diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, ability to work comfortably at heights, and physical ability to lift 40+ lbs regularly.
• Bonus Skills: Trade school completion and/or bilingual abilities (English/Spanish).

Base Pay Range: $23.52 - 29.40
