Job summary

A leading equipment rental company in Elmwood, Louisiana is seeking a Scaffold E&D Carpenter. In this role, you will assist in the handling and counting of scaffolding materials and prepare items for shipment. You're expected to mentor E/D Helpers in their development while ensuring safety and comfort when working at heights. Ideal candidates will have scaffolding experience and possess the proper tools, with opportunities for growth within the company. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

Preferred completion of some trade school.
Minimum of 1 year experience as Scaffold E/D Helper 2 or equivalent.
Must be able to work safely at heights.

Responsibilities

Mentor and coach E/D Helpers 1 and 2.

Job Description Summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Scaffold E&D Carpenter.

Assist in the stacking and counting of scaffolding materials being received on the job site or being shipped from the job site, along with preparing material to be shipped.

Assist the Lead Carpenter and/or Foreman by acting as a mentor and coach to the E/D Helpers 1 and 2 to aid in their development.

Qualifications

Some trade school preferred but not required
Scaffold E/D Helper 2 for a minimum of 1 year or approved equivalent experience
Ability to work comfortably and safely at considerable heights
Bilingual a plus

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Knowledge and use of various types of scaffolding materials
Must be able to erect and dismantle scaffolding under the supervision of the Foreman and/or Lead Carpenter
Must have a general knowledge of the different types and sizes of scaffolding materials being used
Must have the proper tools

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 40 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with applicable laws.

Pay

Base Pay Range: $17.75 - 21.15 per hour.
