Scaffold E/D Construction Manager - North Charleston, SC
Lead the entire E/D department, managing multiple crews in the assembly and dismantling of complex access solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage, hire, and recruit labor crews. Act as a mentor, coach, and trainer for all field personnel.
- Operations Oversight: Supervise day‑to‑day operations across multiple job sites, including scheduling crews for future projects.
- Project Execution: Oversee the erection and dismantling of various scaffolding forms, ensuring accurate inventory management and timely pickups/deliveries.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers on large‑scale projects and support the Profit Center Manager with auxiliary duties.
- Compliance & Safety: Execute all safety regulations regarding products and job site safety. Manage essential documentation including JSAs, safety plans, sign‑offs, and work authorizations.
- Training Management: Oversee the proper execution and operation of the Foreman Training Program.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of scaffold experience (or 8 years in a relatable industry). A college degree or trade school is preferred; 5 years experience required with a degree.
- Certifications: Must have Competent Person training.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in bidding/estimating, crew scheduling, and OSHA regulations.
- Required Training (provided/verified):
- Scaffold Safety Orientation & Supported/Suspended Scaffold Builder certifications.
- First Aid/CPR, Forklift Certification, and Crane Rigging/Signaling.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more.
- Comfort working in both indoor and outdoor environments as required by the job.
Base Pay Range: $74,501.00 - 102,438.60. Total compensation package includes base pay plus robust bonus plan.
