Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Scaffold Builder to construct, assemble, maintain, and dismantle tubular scaffolding and temporary structures on industrial sites. A minimum of 3 years of scaffolding experience is required, along with a strong safety mindset.

• Minimum 3 years of scaffolding experience.
• Able to work at heights and follow safety protocols.
• Strong communication to coordinate site safety.

Responsibilities

• Work at heights with no fear.
• Determines type of scaffold needed.
• Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
• Effectively communicates safety hazards and mitigates hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
• Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold to the dimensions required.
• Hoists scaffolding materials upward to erect temporary structure.
• Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Adheres to OSHA, site-specific and Austin Industrial requirements for erecting and navigation of scaffolding.
• Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.
• Dismantles scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so.
• Inspects and properly stores scaffolding material after dismantling.
