Austin Industrial is seeking a Scaffold Builder - Carpenter to construct, assemble, maintain, and dismantle tubular scaffolding. A minimum of 2 years in scaffolding is required. Valid driver’s license; NCCER preferred but not required. Safety compliance with OSHA and site rules is mandatory.

Work at heights and on-site conditions are expected in this industrial setting. This position is on site and requires legal work authorization in the United States.

Formación

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in scaffolding.
• NCCER is preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Determines type of scaffold needed.
• Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
• Effectively communicates safety hazards and mitigates avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
• Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold to the dimensions required.
• Hoists scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.
• Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
• Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Austin Industrial requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.
• Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.
• Dismantles scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so.
• Inspects and properly stows scaffolding material after dismantling.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• Other duties as assigned.
