Job summary

The City of North Richland Hills is seeking a Water Operations Technician to ensure clean, safe, and reliable water services. You will collect water samples, generate required reports for the City and TCEQ, and oversee SCADA and water distribution systems.

You will perform pump house maintenance and repairs, supervise field staff, and interact with city employees and citizens. A valid Texas driver’s license is required and the position is based on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• One year of experience in water and wastewater pumping, SCADA system operation, or other related operations.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to ensure clean, safe and continuing water services for the city. This is accomplished by conducting water samples, generating reports required by the City and TCEQ on Potable Water, overseeing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Water distribution, providing Pump House maintenance and repair services, supervising personnel and interacting with other City employees and citizens. This position does not provide direction to other employees.
