Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of SCADA and process control systems.

  • Lead and manage the SCADA engineering team, including workload, priorities, performance, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee day-to-day SCADA operations and project portfolios, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Establish priorities based on business requirements, available resources, and project demands.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, deliverables, SLAs, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide technical oversight of SCADA and process control (PT) engineering activities and ensure high-quality solutions.
  • Review engineering work and make informed technical decisions regarding SCADA and OT systems.
  • Coordinate with architecture, cybersecurity, engineering, and other technical teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee incident response, system improvements, and ongoing SCADA operational initiatives.
  • Participate in the hiring, onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and career development of SCADA engineering staff.
  • Develop processes for evaluating and implementing emerging SCADA and OT technologies.
  • Establish and manage budgets for SCADA technology evaluation, training, upgrades, and implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, performance, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Support the development and implementation of SCADA standards, procedures, and best practices.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SCADA Manager to lead our SCADA engineering team and oversee SCADA operations, project delivery, and technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in SCADA, controls, Ignition, and operational technology (OT), along with proven experience managing engineering teams, projects, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can balance people management, project execution, technical quality, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day SCADA operations and project portfolios, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Ignition SCADA / Inductive Automation.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, and control systems.
  • Experience with OT cybersecurity and industrial control system security.
  • Experience developing SCADA standards, architectures, and engineering processes.
  • Experience managing technology rollouts, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
