Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a SCADA Specialist to support and maintain real-time SCADA systems across North America for products and natural gas pipelines.

You will implement SCADA projects, configure applications, develop graphics, and generate reports in compliance with Kinder Morgan standards. 4+ business-critical duties include interface development and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or CS.
• 3+ years’ experience with SCADA, Automation or real-time systems support.
• Experience with ClearSCADA/GeoSCADA preferred.
• Basic programming skills and experience.
• Familiarity with IT, SCADA and telecom architectural standards.
• Ability to apply Object Oriented methodologies in development of applications.
• SQL databases and stored procedures experience.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel & Word).
• Scripting in PowerShell, JavaScript, and/or Python; familiarity with .NET.

Responsibilities

• Provide SCADA system administration and management functions as part of a group.
• Ensure KM SCADA procedures and standards are met.
• Analyze, design and implement SCADA related applications, HMI graphics, and reports.
• Develop data interfaces between business and SCADA applications.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Control Center, and Operations to meet customer requirements.
• Provide hardware and software SCADA support with IT staff.
• Review system maintenance with IT Infrastructure and Telecommunications teams.
• Develop documentation for design and usage of applications and procedures.
