Job summary

Insight Global in the United States is seeking a SCADA I&C Technician to support water and wastewater process controls. You will troubleshoot and maintain PLC, HMI, OIT, and communications, and collaborate with operations to resolve issues, plus perform upgrades, testing, startup and commissioning.

You’ll develop control-system improvements and support new automation projects, while maintaining thorough system documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Electrical, etc.) or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 3+ years' experience with SCADA and OT infrastructure, specifically Geo SCADA, including deployment, commissioning, and ongoing operational support within utility environments.
• Strong background in instrumentation, controls, and field integration, with hands-on proficiency using Rockwell CompactLogix (1769 series) controllers, Phoenix Contact RTBs, and associated SCADA panel hardware.
• Familiarity with applicable industry standards (ISA-101 HMI design, ISA-18.1 alarm management, ISA-62443 cybersecurity) and an understanding of water utility operations and TCEQ water treatment regulations.

Responsibilities

• We're seeking a SCADA I&C Technician to support and enhance the process control systems that keep water and wastewater facilities running safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC, HMI, OIT, and communication systems; partner with operations and maintenance teams to resolve control issues.
• Perform system upgrades, testing, startup, and commissioning activities; develop and implement control system improvements.
• Support new automation projects and maintain accurate system documentation.
