Job summary
Knobelsdorff (KE) seeks a SCADA/HMI engineer to design, develop, and commission advanced automation systems for industrial clients. You’ll create intuitive operator interfaces, integrate PLCs and third‑party systems, and configure alarming, trending, and security to boost reliability and efficiency.
This role requires hands‑on startup, FAT/SAT, and travel for commissioning. You’ll collaborate with customers and engineering teams, follow KE development standards, and contribute to ongoing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent in Electrical/Computer/Automation engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop SCADA/HMI apps for industrial automation projects.
- Create operator interfaces focusing on usability and performance.
- Configure alarming, trending, reporting, historian, and security in SCADA.
- Develop reusable graphics, templates, and faceplates.
- Integrate PLCs, instrumentation, and third-party systems.
- Configure OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP, and EtherNet/IP.
- Assist in system architecture, software design, and reviews.
- Perform FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot software and communications during startup.
- Collaborate with customers and engineering teams to optimize functionality.
