Job summary

Wabash Valley Power Alliance in Indiana seeks a technical professional to install, modify, and maintain SCADA systems for member cooperatives. You will engineer projects, configure communications gear, RTUs, IEDs, and SCADA workstations, plus perform system and database administration on servers and networks.

You will train staff on SCADA operations, troubleshoot end-user devices, monitor network availability, and support LAN/WAN/Internet systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronic Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Technology related field.
• 1–3 years of electronic technology experience or military technical training.
• Operational understanding of computer technology and networking.
• Experience with RTU/IED and EMS/SCADA maintenance preferred.
• Utility experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Installs, modifies, and maintains SCADA systems for Member Systems and cooperatives.
• Engineers and manages projects, configures and tests communications equipment, RTUs, fiber, IEDs, and SCADA Workstations; performs System and Database Admin duties.
• Install, configure, and support LAN/WAN and Internet systems or segments.
• Trains Member Systems personnel on SCADA operation and trouble-shoots end-user devices.
• Monitor network availability and perform maintenance to ensure access for users.
• Travel and occasional overtime may be required; may drive service van or operate forklift.
