Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is seeking a SCADA Engineer I to support the SCADA system at the Gigafactory in Sparks, NV. The role focuses on maintenance, configuration, and operation, under guidance from senior engineers, to ensure reliable manufacturing operations.

The candidate will work with SCADA Engineers and other teams to implement standardized screens, test interfaces with PLCs and field devices, and develop documentation while following IT/OT cybersecurity standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level engineering degree is required.
• 1+ years in SCADA design, programming and commissioning.
• Familiar with Ignition SCADA and SQL databases.
• Basic PLC/SCADA integration knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation, and maintenance of Panasonic's SCADA systems at the Gigafactory.
• Develop and maintain standardized SCADA screens for manufacturing processes.
• Assist in configuration, testing, and maintenance of Ignition SCADA applications.
• Collaborate with IT, Controls, MES, and Process Engineering teams to align system functionality with manufacturing needs.
• Generate SCADA documentation including specifications, architecture, and SOPs.
