Job summary

KNAPP North America is hiring for a SCADA-focused role in Kennesaw, GA. The position involves independent project setup, programming and configuring SCADA software, and creating commissioning docs. You will train customers on SCADA tech and troubleshoot with the team.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and demonstrate intermediate Linux, HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript, and C++. Travel and on-site collaboration are required, with some remote work possible two days weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Intermediate computer skills across general software.
• Proficiency in Linux, HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript, C++ is expected.
• Familiarity with SCADA, OPC, Atvise and SQL concepts is needed.
• Basic networking concepts.
• Electrical concepts and PLC/subsystems understanding are expected.

Responsibilities

• Independent preparation of projects as an initial stage of project implementation.
• Responsible for programming and configuration of SCADA software packages.
• Creation, maintenance, and improvement of commissioning documentation.
• Train customers on SCADA technology and support commissioners through feedback and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with supervisor and colleagues to ensure daily processes are completed timely.
• Coordinate with commissioners to remotely test relevant signals at customer sites.

What You Get To Do
Office:

• Independent preparation of projects as an initial stage of project implementation

On-site:

• Abide by all KNAPP safety guidelines and regulations
• Align with supervisor and collateral others to ensure daily processes are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Train customers and maintenance team on SCADA technology
• Verify electrical schematics of the installation based on the final installation on-site
• Coordinate daily job duties at the customer site with all involved parties, the customer and internal departments
• Coordinate with commissioners to test relevant signals while on customer site
  

What You Have

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
• Intermediate general computer skills
• Intermediate Linux skills
• Intermediate HTML, CSS, Python, Java Script, C++
• Intermediate SCADA, OPC, Atvise, SQL concept
• Intermediate networking concept
• Intermediate electrical concept
• Intermediate PLC and subsystems understanding
  

Working Conditions and Environment:

• Travel is required as follows:
  • 30-40% travel if traveling to the customer site or
  • 20% travel or less if relocating or local to the customer site
• Professional office etiquette is required at all times
• Physical requirements may include: sitting, stooping, bending, visual acuity, finger dexterity, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Passport or ability to obtain passport
