Job summary

Nexus Engineering Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, configure, and support SCADA, RTU, HMI, and automation systems for utility and substation projects. The role offers hybrid work in a dynamic EPCm environment and exposure to a diverse client base.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, participate in site visits, and ensure deliverables meet client requirements and industry standards. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in SCADA, automation, controls, power delivery, or industrial systems.
• Experience with RTU configuration and substation automation projects.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with SCADA protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, IEC-61850.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and support SCADA, RTU, HMI, and automation systems for utility and substation projects.
• Develop SCADA architecture, diagrams, I/O lists, and system integration documentation.
• Coordinate with Protection & Controls engineers to integrate relay data and control functions.
• Interface with clients, vendors, and project teams to define system requirements and resolve issues.
• Assist with equipment specs, procurement, and site startup activities.
