Job summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain SCADA and visualization systems across Magna Exteriors facilities. You will create production dashboards and KPI displays while standardizing HMI across plants.

Responsibilities include data collection, historian deployment, and integration with PLCs, MES, and ERP systems, plus participation in Industry 4.0 initiatives and FAT/SAT activities.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience supporting industrial automation, SCADA, or manufacturing systems.
• Experience with industrial networking and communication protocols.
• Experience developing SCADA or HMI applications.
• Experience with PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.

Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.Required· Five or more years of experience supporting industrial automation, SCADA, or manufacturing systems.· Experience with industrial networking and communication protocols.· Experience developing SCADA or HMI applications.· Experience working with PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Preferred· Automotive manufacturing experience.· Experience with Ignition, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware, VTScada, or similar SCADA platforms.· Experience with SQL databases and manufacturing data systems.· Experience with MES integration.· Experience with vision systems and machine learning-based inspection technologies.· Experience supporting Industry 4.0 initiatives and industrial cybersecurity best practices.· Experience with Power BI or other manufacturing analytics platforms.Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
