Job summary

Asterism IT Solutions seeks an experienced SCADA Engineer to support utility control-center environments. The role requires hands-on experience with Hitachi Energy Network Manager and strong skills in SCADA/GMS databases, telemetry, and test planning.

You will configure, test, and troubleshoot SCADA/EMS systems, participate in integration/regression testing, and support change management and documentation efforts for client projects in the Florida area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years configuring, testing, or supporting SCADA, GMS, or EMS systems.
• Hands-on with Hitachi Energy Network Manager (ABB Network Manager) strongly required.
• Experience with SCADA/GMS data models, point creation, assets, displays, alarms, and database promotion.
• Experience with telemetry concepts: DNP3, ICCP/TASE.2, IEC 61850, Modbus.
• Experience with HMIs, one-line diagrams, alarms, thresholds, and historian feeds.
• Ability to develop and execute integration/regression test plans.
• Strong troubleshooting across databases, communications, telemetry, displays, alarms, calculations, and interfaces.
• Experience with configuration control, access controls, change management, backups, rollback, and audit docs.
• Ability to interpret control narratives, point lists, drawings, and vendor docs.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, test, and support SCADA, GMS, and EMS systems in utility environments.
• Work hands-on with Hitachi Energy Network Manager in client settings.
• Develop/test integration and regression plans for system changes.
• Troubleshoot data, telemetry, displays, and interfaces across the stack.
• Assist with change management, backups, and audit documentation.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience configuring, testing, or supporting SCADA, GMS, or EMS systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Hitachi Energy Network Manager (formerly ABB Network Manager) is strongly required.
• Experience with SCADA/GMS database modeling, point creation, asset hierarchies, equipment templates, communications, calculations, alarms, displays, and database promotion.
• Experience with DNP3, ICCP/TASE.2, IEC 61850, Modbus, and related telemetry concepts.
• Experience with HMI displays, one‑line diagrams, alarms, thresholds, deadbands, calculated points, historian feeds, and external telemetry interfaces.
• Experience developing and executing integration/regression test plans.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with databases, communications, telemetry, displays, alarms, calculations, and interfaces.
• Experience with configuration control, access controls, change management, backups, rollback procedures, and audit documentation.
• Ability to interpret control narratives, point lists, communication drawings, one‑line diagrams, and vendor documentation.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Must Have: Utilities domain + SCADA + Hitachi Energy Network Manager / ABB Network Manager experience.
