Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a SCA Engineering Technician 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Warner Robins, GA. The SCA Engineering Technician 1 is responsible for supporting repair, production and manufacturing processes. Will repair, modify, and maintain a variety of electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems.
In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to perform the following tasks:
Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations and solder work on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
Work from diagrams and drawings, make initial layouts, and use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
Make continuity checks on work in process and completed. Conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Basic Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with relevant soldering, production, or assembly experience being a plus.
Ability to work 2nd shift as required.
Ability to wear safety gear, such as steel toed shoes and glasses.
Ability to handle and assemble small parts.
Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia.
Preferred Qualifications:
Computer skills including proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
Experience with soldering electronics components and assemblies.
Salary Range: $17 - $17
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
