Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Security Supervisor to partner with Supply Chain leadership and oversee the physical security program across the site. You will supervise Security Officer training, staffing, and equipment, ensuring daily security Post coverage and compliance with CTPAT.

The role requires 5-7 years of security-related experience, strong incident-reporting skills, and proficiency with CCTV and safety audits.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Supply Chain leadership to provide visible physical security across the site.
• Supervise Security Officer training, scheduling, and equipment management
• Ensure all SC Security Officer posts are properly staffed
• Execute duties supporting Asset Protection & Safety Manager
• Validate building security throughout the day (gates, doors, perimeter)
• Engage with drivers during inbound/outbound processes per CTPAT
• Validate safety and security audits via handheld devices
• Patrol interior and exterior areas on foot and by vehicle
• De-escalate incidents involving associates, visitors, contractors
• Respond to incidents, accidents, emergencies (medical, fire alarms)
• Report hazards and breaches to leadership
• Complete incident reports in the case management system
• Use CCTV to monitor and detect unauthorized activity
• Attend monthly Safety Team meetings
• Support court hearings; maintain relationships with law enforcement
• Maintain state guard licensing for the security team when required

Job description

• Partner with Supply Chain leadership to provide a visible and proactive physical security and safety presence throughout the assigned supply chain location
• Supervise SC Security Officer training, attendance, scheduling, performance, and security equipment management
• Ensure all scheduled SC Security Officer posts are properly staffed
• Execute job functions supporting the Asset Protection & Safety Manager
• Validate building physical security throughout the day, including gates, doors, and perimeter
• Engage with over-the-road and dedicated fleet drivers during inbound and outbound processes in compliance with CTPAT
• Validate safety and physical security audits conducted by SC Security Officers using handheld mobile devices
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols on foot and in a company-owned vehicle
• De-escalate situations involving associates, visitors, and contractors
• Respond to incidents, accidents, and emergencies, including medical situations and fire alarms
• Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership and associates to enforce policies and procedures
• Report suspicious behavior, safety hazards, and security breaches to leadership
• Complete detailed incident reports in the case management system
• Use CCTV to monitor physical security and detect unauthorized activities
• Attend monthly Safety Team meetings
• Participate in court hearings when applicable, update case files, and maintain relationships with local law enforcement
• Maintain State Guard Licensing requirements for the Security Team when required

Requirements

• High School or GED
• 5-7 years of retail, security, first-responder, or military experience (or related field)
• 1-2 years of big-box retail, security, or military experience
• 1-2 years of experience with detailed incident report-writing
• 1-2 years of experience conducting quality reviews/audits
• Driver’s License
• Security License
• Ability to maintain required certifications and licenses
• Associate's Degree with a study in Criminal Justice, Safety, or related security field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience using physical security systems (CCTV, EAS, etc.) preferred
• First-Aid Certification preferred
• De-Escalation/Crisis Intervention preferred
