Job summary

Jobtailor in Reading, PA is seeking an experienced Security Manager to oversee security operations across locations. You will lead monitors and staff, protect employees and assets, and drive risk mitigation strategies end-to-end.

Responsibilities include coordinating with senior security leadership, conducting investigations, training staff on security SOPs, and managing budgets and vendor relationships. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience.
  • Government/Private sector security management certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of corporate security experience; law enforcement and/or military experience included.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and complete directives as assigned.
  • Solid knowledge of risk assessment methodologies.
  • Basic project management skills with ability to achieve results.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to build trust.

Responsibilities

  • Provide management, security service, and support to operational and support functions across assigned locations.
  • Lead and provide administrative oversight to security monitors, supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
  • Protect company employees, assets, facilities, and personal security.
  • Conduct physical security compliance reviews, testing, inspections, and audits.
  • Manage security risks, facility security, damage reports, external theft, internal shrinkage, and risk mitigation.
  • Conduct and assist with security investigations and author investigative summaries.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Security to plan, task, manage, report, investigate, and resolve directives and objectives.
  • Coordinate with retail, state production, cultivation, and corporate partners.
  • Monitor policies and rules and provide operational oversight.
  • Mentor, train, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews for security staff.
  • Maintain and review administrative reports and processes; recommend changes.
  • Establish threat awareness and training plans with plant/site managers.
  • Manage complex events and operations to ensure continuity.
  • Provide incident reports, briefings, and after-action recommendations to leadership.
  • Train staff on SOPs, access control, visitor management, event security, incident response, guard operations, technical security solutions, and emergency preparedness.
  • Manage security and threat management programs.
  • Manage relationships with local resources, stakeholders, and security partners.
  • Participate in hiring and retention of employees meeting security standards.
  • Assume responsibility for the Director of Security in their absence.

Requirements
