Job summary

MMC Group LP seeks an experienced leader to manage Special Assets and Portfolio liquidation for SBA 7(a) loans. The role oversees a team, develops workout plans, and coordinates with attorneys, borrowers, and lenders to maximize loan recovery.

Responsibilities include monitoring collateral, conducting cash-flow analyses, and ensuring compliance with SBA policies. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in SBA 7(a) lender, SBLC knowledge preferred.
• Working knowledge of federal and state collection laws and the Fair Debt Collection Act.
• Basic knowledge of financial analysis, bankruptcy, workout, and collateral disposition.
• Ability to train and present to audiences; strong written and verbal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related portfolio management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Special Asset Officers and Portfolio Officers.
• Develop and monitor workout action plans with timely follow-up.
• Evaluate collateral positions and perform cash flow analyses.
• Direct legal actions, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and related processes.
• Negotiate with attorneys and borrowers to reach resolutions.
• Prepare complex analyses and present recommendations to senior management.
• Manage collections, post-closing reporting, and covenant monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with SBA SOP 50 57 and related policies.
• Maintain relationships with SBA and external counsel as needed.
