Job summary

Fifth Third Bank seeks an SBA Lending Consultant to empower small business owners by growing the SBA loan portfolio. You will act as an SBA expert, educating partners, structuring loans to SBA guidelines, and selling loan products to customers and prospects.

As a team member, you will train frontline staff on SBA programs, ensure timely closings, and maintain pipeline reporting for SBA submissions. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years SBA lending are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in SBA lending, including hands-on experience with SBA loan origination and servicing.

• Evaluate customer needs and ensure SBA lending activities meet SOPs.
• Collaborate with internal partners to identify SBA-eligible lending opportunities.
• Assist in prospect conversations, loan structure support, and eligibility for underwriting approval.
