Job summary

F.N.B. Corporation (FNB) seeks an SBA Closing Associate in the Commercial Banking group to act as liaison among SBA, the Bank, vendors, attorneys and customers on loan closing issues.

You will screen and monitor loan documentation, prepare exceptions, and ensure proper imaging and filing across SBA and Bank systems. The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and coordination with closing attorneys and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1 year of related experience (2 years preferred).
• Paralegal training/experience a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepares legal and credit files and assists SBA Closer 1 and SBA Closer 2 with administrative functions.
• Inputs all SBA and USDA loans into SBA Lending systems.
• Confirms loans boarded and booked correctly.
• Handles third party fee tracking and GL reconciliations.
• Imaging of documentation in Bank and SBA systems.
• Maintains tickler system for deeds, titles, UCC, insurances, etc.
• Conducts post-closing lien searches and post-closing audits.
• Ensures timely payment of SBA Guaranty Fee.
• Evaluates third-party vendor documentation (UCC, lien, flood searches).
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
• Supports risk management per the company’s risk management program.
