Job summary

Carter Bank is seeking an SBA Loan Closer in Greensboro, NC to manage the closing process for SBA 7(a) loans. You will coordinate with borrowers, Relationship Managers, attorneys, title companies, and the SBA Closing Manager to ensure accurate, timely closings.

The role requires high school diploma and SBA closings experience, with strong knowledge of SBA SOPs, documentation, and funding procedures. Some travel and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior SBA 7(a) loan closing experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage SBA 7(a) loan closings from conditional approval through funding, including ordering title, coordinating appraisals, and preparing closing checklists.
• Review SBA authorization documents and ensure all conditions are satisfied prior to closing.
• Prepare and review closing packages in compliance with SBA SOP requirements and internal closing policy.
• Coordinate directly with borrowers, attorneys, title companies, and RMs to resolve open items and schedule closings.
• Ensure timely funding and accurate disbursement of loan proceeds.
• Verify that all closing documentation meets SBA and lender requirements before funding.
• Maintain complete and organized closing files throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Support post-closing processes including SBA note registration, file delivery to servicing, and guarantee purchase documentation.
• Stay current on SBA SOP closing requirements and internal policy updates.
