Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training or certification in quality control is a plus.
• Previous QC experience preferred in sawmill/wood products.
• Understanding of wood products, grading standards, and QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of lumber and wood products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform tests for defects, moisture content, and other quality indicators.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and issues detected.
• Ensure products comply with industry standards and company specifications.
• Identify and report quality issues; collaborate with production to implement corrective actions.
• Assist in process improvements to enhance product quality.
• Collaborate with production staff and supervisors to ensure quality standards are met.
