Job summary

Canfor's sawmill in Fulton, AL seeks a skilled Millwright to keep production lines running at peak performance. You’ll maintain pumps, conveyors, compressors, bearings and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, performing preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance to maximize uptime.

Join a safety‑driven, team‑oriented environment with a 2nd shift and rotating weekend schedule. Prior CMMS experience is a plus, as is familiarity with lumber production processes.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus.
• Basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair components.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems on heavy machinery.
• Experience using a CMMS to schedule and document maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, bearings, rollers and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Perform preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement safe, reliable fixes.
• Identify needed parts and request them to complete repairs promptly.
• Contribute to a safe work environment and effective teamwork.
