Job summary

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Production Superintendent to lead the Cottage Grove Lumbermill in Oregon. You will oversee sawmill and log yard operations, drive safety, reliability, and production improvements, and partner with maintenance and finish teams.

Strong leadership in a union setting is required. The role reports to the Mill Manager and emphasizes team development, data-driven decision making, and adherence to site policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Forestry, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience in lumber or wood products manufacturing preferred.
• At least 5 years’ leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership in safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety processes and educate to ensure a safe work environment.
• Plan production activities and budget; coordinate maintenance with the team.
• Hire, plan, schedule, supervise, and coach hourly production staff.
• Drive process improvements, team meetings, and proactive problem-solving.
