Job summary

PotlatchDeltic Corporation is seeking a Utility - Machine Operator at the Gwinn Lumber Mill to operate sawmill and planer equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and keep the mill area clean. The role requires teamwork and the ability to lift 50 lbs, with basic computer skills and safety focus.

Typical schedule is 40 hours per week (Mon–Thu); overtime may push to 50 hours (Mon–Fri), with one Friday per month of mandatory overtime. Shifts rotate every two weeks between days and nights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18+ years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Industrial equipment experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Operate sawmill and planer equipment in the mill.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
• Clean up machinery areas and surrounding spaces.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
