Job summary

ForestSource is seeking a Sawmill Superintendent for our new Southern Yellow Pine site in the Southern US. You will lead operations, optimize production processes, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement across the facility.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of forest products leadership, strong equipment knowledge, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners. Relocation support is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive leadership in forest products/sawmill operations.
• Hands-on knowledge of lumber manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with diverse teams.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to sawmill operations and drive performance improvement.
• Oversee production planning, resource management, quality control, and safety.
• Develop strategies to increase productivity and profitability.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to optimize plant design and equipment.
• Foster teamwork, accountability, and employee development.
• Build relationships with suppliers, customers, regulators, and communities.
• Stay current with industry trends and adopt new technologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
