Job summary

Woodgrain is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for its millwork operations. The position requires 2+ years as a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic, an Associate degree or equivalent training, and preferably completion of an apprenticeship. You will work with blueprints to install, repair and maintain heavy machinery in a sawmill environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic.
• An Associate’s Degree or equivalent training.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and malfunctions; adjust or replace parts as needed.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and PLCs.
