Job summary

Stimson Lumber Company is hiring a PM Technician for the Clatskanie mill. The role focuses on preventative maintenance for sawmill machinery, pneumatics, hydraulics, and oiling, on a swing shift with overtime eligibility.

Starting pay ranges from $29.00 to $35.00 hourly, plus $1.50–$2.00 shift differential. Benefits include healthcare, 401(k) with match, profit sharing, bonus eligibility, paid time off, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months experience in a production/plant setting.
• Basic understanding of equipment and oiling required for equipment.
• Aptitude for learning mechanical skills (hydraulic, pneumatic).
• Proven ability to follow directions well and thoroughness in oiling responsibilities.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand up to 10 hours a day.
• Comfort in year-round outdoor, loud environments with sawdust and moving machinery.

Responsibilities

• Daily oiling and lubing of machinery.
• Maintaining correct oil levels in all plant hydraulic units.
• Cleaning and maintaining compressor room.
• Assisting Millwrights on equipment repairs.
• Follow directions and effectively communicate with all levels of plant personnel.
