Job summary

SIERRA PACIFIC INDUSTRIES is seeking a Millwright/Maintenance Technician for our sawmill in Sonora, California. This role involves maintaining and repairing machinery, including troubleshooting and fabrication of machine components. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of relevant experience and a strong skill set in welding and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• 2 years recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education.
• Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility.
• Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment.
• Dismantle machinery and locate causes of mechanical breakdown.
