Woodgrain in Emmett, Idaho is seeking a Maintenance Technician Apprentice to assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial machinery in a sawmill environment. This entry-level position involves working closely with experienced millwrights to learn essential skills, including reading blueprints and operating machinery. Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery.
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions.
• Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery during installations.
• Conduct regular inspections of the workplace for preventive maintenance.

Skills

Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications

Ability to weld and fabricate steel

Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude

Ability to identify root cause of problems

Detail oriented and work accuracy focus

Education

1 or more years of experience in the Millwright/Industrial Mechanic trade

1 or more years of welding experience

1 or more years of fabrication experience
