Job summary

Woodgrain in Emmett, Idaho is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to install, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience, a strong understanding of blueprints, and mechanical systems. Responsibilities include inspecting machinery, performing routine maintenance, and leading equipment installation. Qualifications

• 2 or more years of experience as a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Inspect and examine machinery to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
• Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
• Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance work on machinery.

Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications

Ability to weld and fabricate steel

Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude

Ability to relate and positively interact with team members

Ability to identify root cause of problems and initiate corrective action

Detail oriented

Education

2 year Associate’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant training
