Job summary

Canfor’s Marion, SC sawmill is seeking a Machine Operator for a permanent full-time, Monday–Friday 1st shift position. You will rotate tasks, safely operate industrial equipment, and work with a team to meet production goals while maintaining quality throughout the process.

Candidates should be comfortable with physical tasks and noise, dust, and environmental conditions typical of a mill. We encourage learning and growth, offering an environment that rewards hard work.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
• Experience operating industrial machinery is a plus.
• Good teamwork and willingness to learn are required.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through various tasks in the assigned workspace on an hourly basis.
• Safely operate industrial machinery.
• Collaborate with team to achieve production goals.
• Maintain commitment to quality throughout the production process.
• Conduct routine inspections and report wear, damage or malfunctions for preventive action.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
