Job summary

Canfor in Graham, NC is seeking a Loader Operator to join our sawmill team. This full-time, Monday-Friday role puts you hands-on with logs, operating heavy equipment, and driving production forward in a safe, efficient manner.

You will work 8-12 hour shifts, sit/stand as needed, and contribute to daily log handling, yard movements, and routine maintenance. We value reliability, teamwork, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to operate heavy-duty equipment safely.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and loud environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a sawmill setting.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload logs to meet production targets.
• Remove logs from kick out bin daily with knuckle-boom loader.
• Move logs to metal yard or log deck as required.
• Perform daily cleanup around log fields and bins.
• Assist with weekly maintenance checks on machinery.
• Adhere to safety rules and wear PPE.
