Job summary

Triple-S Steel in Houston, TX seeks a Saw Operator to read work orders and run saws to meet customer requirements. This hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and may require overtime.

You will operate a 10 ton overhead crane, conveyors, and a forklift, and assist with pulling, staging, stacking, and banding processed material. Must lift 40 lbs, read a tape measure, and pass physical requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Able to operate forklift and overhead crane.
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Produce error-free work for internal and external customers.
• Must pass all physical requirements of the position.
• Must have color vision.

Responsibilities

• Operate saw according to work orders.
• Operate 10 ton overhead crane.
• Operate in-feed and out-feed conveyors.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Pull/stage product for processing.
• Stack and band processed material.
• Lift up to 40 lbs and manage overhead chains/hooks.
• Maintain saw and conveyor systems.

Overview

This is a Saw Operator position responsible for properly reading and executing work orders to timely meet customer requirements. This non-exempt (hourly) position typically reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities. The position requires working in accordance with Triple-S Steel job requirements and Safe Methods of Work. Overtime hours may be required to meet our customers’ needs.

Location: 6000 Jensen Drive Houston, TX 77026

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM-3:00 AM. Must be available for overtime as needed.
