Job summary

Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc. in Houston is seeking a Saw Operator to read work orders and execute them to meet customer requirements.

This hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and requires adherence to Safe Methods of Work and safety standards. You will operate saws, a 10-ton overhead crane, conveyors, and a forklift, while pulling and staging product and ensuring accurate material handling.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane utilizing pendant or radio controls.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Responsible for providing error free work to all external and internal customers.
• Applicant must successfully pass all components of the physical requirements of the position.
• Must be able to distinguish color, regardless of position of colors.

Responsibilities

• Operation of saw.
• Operation of 10 ton overhead crane.
• Operation of in-feed and out-feed conveyor system.
• Operation of forklift.
• Pulling / staging product.
• Stacking and banding processed material.
• Lifting of processed parts (40lbs or less).
• Lifting of overhead chains / hooks.
• Maintaining saw and conveyor system.
