Job summary

CMI Group – Systems 3 in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Saw Operator / Material Flow Coordinator (Waterspider) to support aerospace manufacturing by preparing raw material, maintaining continuous material flow, and ensuring production teams have the resources needed to meet commitments. This role blends operating automated saw equipment with Lean Manufacturing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
• Experience operating automated or semi-automated industrial equipment.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Experience using measuring equipment including tape measures and calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, travelers, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automated saw equipment according to drawings and schedules.
• Maintain continuous material flow and deliver materials to machining centers.
• Label, stage, and maintain material traceability.
• Perform first-piece and periodic dimensional inspections.
• Support inventory movement and Lean initiatives.
