Job summary

Cascade Die Casting Group in Sparta, MI is seeking a Water Spider – Secondary to keep materials and paperwork ready at the point of use. The role supports efficient operation by moving materials across the production floor and coordinating with teams to keep lines supplied.

Responsibilities include following standard work instructions, organizing stock, printing labels, prioritizing orders, and communicating with other departments. Occasional overtime may be required to maintain production flow.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent reasoning and communication skills.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills required.
• Previous assembly or material handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, comprehend, and follow written, standardized work instructions and trained procedures to perform and set up any secondary machinery.
• Monitor workstations and replenish required parts, labels, and supplies timely.
• Prepare, communicate and execute a plan to provide material and required paperwork to run the next job in queue for assigned work centers.
• Coordinate with Material Handlers, Supervisors, and Shipping/Receiving to ensure parts are ready to run when scheduled.
• Create and print accurate labels and deliver to workstation timely.
• Determine the priority of orders to be pulled when components are limited to keep production flowing.
• Communicate with personnel in other departments to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
• Organize incoming and outgoing parts in the assigned area; maintain organization and consistency.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; ensure materials appear clean and tidy.
• Work overtime hours as required and be available for emergency overtime.
