Overview

Considerjoining thePennexfamily as a Saw Operator at our Wellsville, PA location. The Saw Operator cuts extrusions to cut length and tolerances per EPICS, Pennex Drawings, and customer requirements.Inspects length and angularity of cut pieces per work instructions.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repetitively lifts aluminum extrusions of various lengths from metal carriers to saw in-feed table.

• Sets up saw to cut pieces to desired specifications.

• Ensures all cuts are made to meet customer specifications and tolerances.Takes measurements and enters data intoSPCdatabaseperwork instructions.

• Verifies the number of cuts per length is in accordancetothe EPICS work order and/or print.

• Gathers all material needed for framing bundles, such as but not limitedto:tape, stretch wrap, cardboard, paper, and banding.

• Visually inspects metal while forming bundles, Inspects metal for burrs, scratches, chips, gouges, dents, bubbles, and die lines. Ensuresall pieces meet or exceed customer specifications.When material is questionable, contact Foreman, Supervisor or QA Inspector for review and/or approval.

• Assembles bundles perpartspecific work instructionsutilizingpacking materials to meet customer specifications.

• Records theappropriate order, piece count, and weight in EPICS System.

• Carries scrapmetal toscrap cart.

• Maintains a neat and orderly work area iand assists with general housekeeping of the work area upon completion of a repair.Assistswith general housekeeping of the Shipping area.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Education

• High School diploma or the equivalent experience.

Experience

• Experience with machine operation in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must beeligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available.
• Regular attendancerequired.
